I Spent $7 on Lessons: These Viral Storage Products Are Not Worth Buying

Ladies, today’s a warning guide.

I calculated—spent at least $75 last year on viral storage products. Most are gathering dust.

Sharing traps I’ve fallen into.

Product 1: S-Shape Pants Hangers

Sells 100k+ monthly, claiming one hanger holds 5 pants.

I bought it; tossed after two weeks.

Problem: easy to hang, hard to remove. Want the middle pair? Remove all above. Plus pants slip off.

Most ridiculous: the hanger itself takes up space. Five folded pants in a drawer save more space.

Rating: ★★★★★ waste

Product 2: Stackable Shoe Boxes

Transparent plastic boxes that stack neatly.

I bought 12 for $14. Used three months; problems emerged.

First, odor. Shoes don’t breathe; smell builds. Second, capacity. Men’s shoes don’t fit. Retrieval is annoying.

Now my shoe boxes sit empty.

Product 3: Multi-Function Vegetable Slicer

Supposedly julienne, slice, dice—all in one.

Used twice; now idle. Cuts unevenly. Cleaning is nightmare.

Went back to regular knife.

Rating: ★★★★☆ waste

Product 4: Over-Door Hooks

Not completely useless, but extremely door-picky.

My door won’t close fully with hooks. Heavy items make them slide.

Measure first. I bought 3, only 1 works.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ waste

Two genuinely useful tools:

Tool 1: Basic Drawer Dividers

Basic plastic grids. For socks, cables—everything visible. Cheap, functional.

Tool 2: Velcro Cable Ties

Few bucks for a roll; bundle cables. Reusable and eco-friendly.

Lessons learned:

Don’t be fooled by marketing photos. Prioritize easy access. Start with small batches.
