Kitchen Essentials Under $7: 3 Months Later, These Are Still Worth It

Hey everyone, I previously wrote about kitchen tools and had friends ask for recommendations on stuff that’s actually cheap but works well.

Today I’m sharing the few items under 50 yuan that I’ve been using for 3 months and genuinely feel are worth it.

Silicone Brush

This really is the most low-maintenance dish-washing tool I’ve used. A few yuan for one, works on pots and dishes, and rinses completely clean with no residue.

My old brushes would get moldy after a while. This silicone one? Never. When it gets dirty, I just throw it in the dishwasher.

Measuring Cup for Rice with Markings

Don’t laugh—the rice measuring cup really matters. I used to eyeball it, and my rice came out either too hard or too soft every time.

Got one with markings, followed the water-to-rice ratio on the instructions, haven’t failed since. A few yuan item that helped me make perfect rice.

Fridge Odor Remover

This one’s a bit pricier—maybe 20-30 yuan—but truly worth it.

My fridge used to smell especially bad in summer. Activated charcoal didn’t really help. Got a small plug-in fridge odor remover, used it for half a month and the smell was gone.

Plus this remover is reusable—way better value than single-use odor packs.

Summary

Kitchen essentials really don’t need to cost big bucks. The key is choosing right, not choosing expensive.

All the items above probably total under 50 yuan, but genuinely improved my kitchen happiness.
