2026五一最强拼假攻略:放5天请9天,高速免费+景区优惠,这一套组合拳学到了就是赚到

This year’s May Day holiday is different.

5 days off, but you can take 9 days of leave. Highways are free, and scenic spots are offering discounts. If you do the math right, you can save a decent chunk of change. I’ve calculated it out for you — read on and you’ll know exactly how to plan.

First, the official schedule: May 1st through May 5th, 5 days total. May 9th (Saturday) is a workday.

So actual holiday time is 4 days plus 2 weekend days, 6 days total. But if you use your annual leave, you can拼 (combine) an even longer break.

Option 1: Take May 6-9 off (4 days of annual leave)

Combined with the 5-day May Day holiday and 2 weekend days, that’s 11 days total. April 30th through May 10th, 11 consecutive days off.

This works for people with travel plans, especially those going far or visiting family.

Option 2: Take just May 6th as leave (1 day of annual leave)

Combined with May Day’s 5 days and 2 weekend days, that’s 8 days total. May 1st through May 8th.

This suits staycations or those who don’t want to use too many leave days.

Now for the savings:

  1. Highway tolls waived: 12am May 1st through 12am May 5th, free passage for vehicles with 7 seats or less. The free period is calculated by when you EXIT, not when you enter. Get on the highway before the free period but exit during it? No charge.

  2. Scenic spot discounts: Many scenic areas offer May Day promotions, some even half-price. Check ahead and save.

  3. Book accommodation early: Prices spike during May Day. Booking a week or more in advance is cheaper. Especially for popular destinations — the earlier, the better.

  4. Avoid peak hours: May 1st morning and May 5th afternoon are peak times. If you can shift your travel timing, do.

So what’s your plan? Anyone already booked something?
