618 Isn't Even Here Yet, But the National Subsidy Already Arrived: How to Claim It?
Sisters, 618 hasn’t arrived yet, but the money is already on its way.
On April 10th, the National Development and Reform Commission officially allocated the second batch of 62.5 billion yuan in consumer goods trade-in national subsidy funds, with 29 provinces and cities simultaneously restarting application channels nationwide.
This wave of operations, simply put: The country gives you money first, you buy things and get discounts afterward.
This is exactly opposite to 618’s logic—618 requires you to凑单 yourself for discounts, while the national subsidy directly discounts your purchase.
What’s Covered?
Here’s the key part: Phones, digital products, air conditioners, home appliances, and computers are all included.
The specific subsidy ratios look like this:
- Phones: Up to 15%
- Computers/tablets: Up to 20%
- Air conditioners: Up to 20%
- TVs/refrigerators and other major appliances: Up to 15%
Note, these are maximum ratios—how much you can actually claim depends on what brand and model you buy.
How to Apply?
Three methods, personally tested and effective:
Method 1: JD.com Direct Search
Open JD.com, search “国补001” or “国补降价678”, and enter the special zone directly.
Method 2: Alipay/UnionPay
The homepage has a “trade-in” entrance, click in and follow the prompts.
Method 3: Offline Stores
Suning, Gome, Dazhong and other physical stores all work—staff will help you with the process.
I personally most recommend Method 1, because JD.com’s prices are the most transparent, and the post-subsidy price is clear at a glance.
Can You Stack 618 and National Subsidy?
This is the question everyone asks most.
Answer: Yes, but with conditions.
The national subsidy is a discount, 618 is a platform promotion—they can theoretically stack. But in actual operations, some product links don’t support stacking, so you need to check carefully before ordering.
My experience is: Major home appliances (air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines) most likely can stack, while 3C products (phones, computers) depend on the specific store.
My suggestion: First claim the national subsidy, then凑618满减, get both waves of benefits.
My Actual Operation Record
My cousin operated it this way when buying an air conditioner last month:
- First selected the model in JD’s national subsidy zone, received a 400 yuan straight reduction
- Then used JD member’s additional discount, saved another 120 yuan
- Finally paid with JD E-card, saved another 60 yuan
An air conditioner originally priced at 3,200 yuan ended up at just over 2,700 yuan.
She said: This is more cost-effective than buying on 618 day itself.
When Does It Expire?
According to official statements, this batch of 62.5 billion in subsidy funds is first-come-first-served, while supplies last.
Meaning, it’s not that you can buy whenever you want—there are limited funds in the local pool.
My suggestion: Don’t wait for 618, go claim it now.
