夏天来了懒得逛超市?我研究了一下即时零售,发现这几个bug价一般人不知道 (EN)

Sisters, the weather in Chengdu is already getting muggy, and the thought of trudging to the supermarket is becoming increasingly painful.

Last week I was too lazy to go out, so I tried buying daily necessities via Meituan Flash Purchase (闪购). What I found—some money-saving tips that most people genuinely don’t know.

First: the Flash Purchase Weekly Pass.

Lots of people don’t know about Meituan Flash Purchase’s “weekly pass”—9.9 yuan for a week of 2 yuan off every order, plus a few free delivery waivers. I calculated: I placed 6 flash purchase orders last week buying veggies, snacks, and household stuff. After the pass discount, I saved nearly 30 yuan total.

Second: timing for stacking coupons.

Meituan Flash Purchase coupons sometimes expire on the hour. This means if you spot a big coupon about to expire without being used—usually in the last half hour they’ll release an even larger denomination to promote sales. Last Thursday at 10pm I snagged a “59 yuan off 20” big coupon, and I happened to need kitchen paper towels and laundry detergent right then.

Third: brand day promotions.

Every Wednesday and Saturday are Meituan Flash Purchase brand days, with extra discounts on specific brands. When buying stuff from a particular brand, check if it’s brand day first—every little bit helps.

But honestly, instant retail prices aren’t always cheaper than supermarkets. I’ve compared several times and found that for beverages and snacks—standardized products—instant retail is sometimes 1-2 yuan more expensive. Flash purchase works well for vegetables and urgently needed household items, but bulk stockpiling is still better done at supermarkets or during big online promotions.

Bottom line: instant retail isn’t a universal solution. Use it in the right scenarios to actually save money.
