2026国补第二批来了:我帮你们问清楚了怎么用,别吃亏 (EN)
April 18 marked the official launch of this year’s second national subsidy batch. Many people missed out last time because they didn’t understand the rules in time, so I asked around and got the key questions answered for you.
Which categories are covered?
According to the official announcement, the second batch mainly covers appliance trade-in programs, including air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and water heaters—major home appliances plus some kitchen appliances. The detailed list is at the end of this article for you to check against.
What’s the subsidy standard?
Most categories get around 15% of the purchase price back, capped at about 2000 yuan. Sounds pretty good, right? But there are a few traps you need to watch out for.
First trap: old machine valuation.
Trade-in subsidies are based on the old machine you hand in, but the valuation standard is set by the platform or merchant—not what you think it’s worth. When I traded in my air conditioner last time, the technician valued my old unit at just 30 yuan, citing “market conditions.” But that old air conditioner still worked fine. So if your old machine is still relatively new, I recommend selling it on a secondhand platform first—it might be more worthwhile than going through the national subsidy.
Second trap: stacking restrictions.
National subsidies usually can’t be combined with other major discounts, like some platforms’ super brand day coupons. I got burned this time—I thought I could stack a 1000-yuan-off-200 coupon, but at payment I discovered national subsidy orders weren’t eligible. Always confirm with customer service before ordering.
Third trap: delivery and installation.
Some platforms’ subsidy items charge delivery and installation separately, especially when old machines need to be removed. For major appliances, removing the old unit plus installing the new one plus handling sometimes costs an extra 100-200 yuan. This part isn’t covered by the subsidy.
Bottom line: the national subsidy makes sense when your old appliance really does need replacing. If your old machine still works, I’d suggest pricing it on a secondhand platform first—sometimes selling directly is more worthwhile.
