Honestly, this product category has been incredibly competitive since 2025—every brand boasts ridiculous specs: 20000Pa suction, 120-degree self-cleaning drying, 1000ml water tanks. But the actual performance gap is significant.

First, the conclusion:

If your home is over 120 square meters, you have pets, or kids, go for the high-temperature steam plus auto water refill model. Yes, it’s expensive, but it genuinely saves headaches.

If you’re in a small apartment, single, or renting, a wireless handheld version is sufficient. Don’t spend extra on features you’ll never use.

My 5 real-world tested models: Guanlin H30, Yading S8, Xiaomi Wireless 3Pro, Rockrobo A20, Zhuifeng H12Pro

Heavy stain cleaning (soy sauce, oyster sauce, baby food residue):

  • Guanlin H30: five stars. 100-degree steam isn’t a gimmick—it actually removes dried stains
  • Yading S8: four stars. Hot water cleaning works well too, but slightly lower temp than Guanlin
  • Xiaomi Wireless 3Pro: three stars. Fine for basic cleaning, needs multiple passes for tough stuff

Hair handling (this is my biggest pain point):

  • Guanlin H30: five stars. Dual roller brushes genuinely don’t tangle hair
  • Yading S8: four stars. Single roller but has tangle-prevention design
  • Xiaomi Wireless 3Pro: two stars. Hair wraps around the roller, annoying to clean

Self-cleaning plus drying:

  • This is actually where brands are closest in performance—most mainstream models score around 60 points

Recommendations:

  • Budget under 2000 RMB: Xiaomi Wireless 3Pro (adequate basics)
  • Budget 3000-4000 RMB: Yading S8 (best value)
  • Budget 5000+ RMB: Guanlin H30 (no compromises)
